Sliding doors
Sliding glass doors create wide glazed openings, providing a sense of space and allowing natural light to fill the interior.

Sliding Doors

High-performance sliding door systems with large-format glazing and minimal sightlines.

Sliding doors for modern living spaces

Sliding doors feature glass panels that glide horizontally along a track to create wide glazed openings. Ideal for locations where large spans of glazing are desired, sliding doors allow interiors to be filled with natural light and create a strong visual connection with the outdoors.

Customisable sliding doors for residential and commercial applications

Sliding door systems can be used across a wide range of residential and commercial projects, including both modern and traditional homes, as well as offices, hotels, spas, retail and restaurants. Their slim sightlines and large glass panels make them ideal for creating bright, open spaces with uninterrupted views.

In residential settings, sliding patio doors are commonly used for kitchen extensions, garden rooms and open-plan living areas. In commercial environments, sliding doors and slide-and-turn systems can be used for entrances, external facades and winter gardens. They can also be used indoors to provide flexible space division.

Sliding door configurations and system types

Solarlux sliding doors can be designed and engineered to suit specific project requirements. Choose from single-glazed, non-insulated options for locations where thermal performance is not a priority. Meanwhile, double- and triple-glazed sliding doors with thermally broken frames can help to maintain interior comfort.

Systems can also be adapted with bespoke framing, large-format glazing, high-security hardware and a choice of threshold designs, ensuring the sliding doors meet all aesthetic and performance requirements.

  • Sliding doors – Glass panels that slide along a linear track.
  • Slide-and-turn doors – These also slide along a linear track, then pivot to stack neatly at the side, similar to a bifold door.
  • Lift-and-slide doors – These incorporate a mechanism that gently raises the panel, reducing friction during sliding and allowing large, heavy panels to be moved with ease.
  • Non-insulated sliding door systems – Non-thermally broken doors are designed for internal spaces and protected environments where thermal insulation is not required, such as balconies, glass canopies, swimming pools and internal partitions.
  • Insulated sliding door systems – Thermally broken sliding doors are suitable for external applications where energy efficiency, comfort and weather protection are important. Typically used for residential living spaces, extensions and winter gardens.
  • Frame appearance – Solarlux sliding doors can have wood or aluminium profiles with a choice of 30 RAL colours as standard, as well as dual-colour options. All-glass systems can also be provided, depending on project requirements. Some designs can also have an all-glass appearance.
  • Large-format glazing – Individual panels can be up to 15 m².
