The Solarlux Campus in Melle, Germany is simply outstanding! This is demonstrated by the prizes it has won, such as the Lower Saxony State Prize for Architecture and the 2019 Environmental Award issued by the Osnabrück Regional Conservation Fund. However, even without these awards the 58,000 m² facility would still have plenty to offer: workstations flooded with light, a 3,000 m² showroom, one of Europe’s largest geothermal areas... the list could go on and on. Ever since our humble beginnings, the bi-folding door has always been the beating heart at the centre of Solarlux. Herbert Holtgreife and Heinz-Theo Ebbert first began designing and selling the bi-folding door back in 1983. Ever since then, passion, perfection and enthusiasm have played a key role in everything that has helped Solarlux move forward as a company. As can be seen from the 28,000 bi-folding door panels we install every year, this very first product is still hugely popular among today’s architectural trends.

All of Solarlux’s systems are made in Germany – in the north-western town of Melle, just outside Osnabrück, to be precise. The “Made in Germany” seal found on all Solarlux products is a genuine promise of quality. In addition to being tailor-made to suit each of our customers’ bespoke needs, all of our systems are also tested by renowned independent institutes. Our in-house Research and Development department ensures that we keep improving our existing products and coming up with new ideas. For us, that’s all part of the “Made in Germany” promise.
