The new Avalis premium canopy from Solarlux
The Avalis from Solarlux is a new flat canopy that is the only one of its kind: made of wood, with a minimal incline, thermally insulated and, thanks to the wide range of design options it offers, an architectural chameleon that blends in with a variety of building styles.
Cubic architecture has become increasingly popular in recent years, its timeless design demonstrated in bungalows and multi-storey buildings alike. The new Avalis flat canopy from Solarlux is a continuation of this theme. But it is also much more than just an aesthetically pleasing glass canopy – it can be used as an extension to match even the most high-end living standards.
The Avalis offers excellent insulation and outstanding impermeability, thanks to at least five layers of lamination. Of course, it is also compatible with the Solarlux bi-folding door and the cero sliding window, two products that complement the purist style of the Avalis perfectly. Together, they provide an easy way of creating a new living space that offers a wide-ranging, floor-to-ceiling panoramic view of the outdoors all year round.
Two variants – and one atrium
The Avalis is available in two different designs: with a slanted or a straight roof overhang. The slanted variant produces an incredibly elegant visual effect, making the roof seem higher, as if it were floating above the space below. The straight-edged version provides space for a shading system beneath the roof overhang. The roof pitch has an angle of just two degrees, which allows it to drain off rainwater reliably despite appearing almost completely flat to the naked eye.
In order to allow daylight in from above as well as at the sides, the Avalis can be fitted with a glass skylight with an automatically controlled roof hatch. The wooden ceiling of the flat canopy can be up to 3.5 metres wide and 6 metres deep. However, even custom solutions are no problem for Solarlux, and the canopy can also be built to cover larger areas than this on request.
With its harmonious proportions, wide range of design options and purist aesthetics, the Avalis is more than just a new flat canopy – it’s an architectural statement.
