With the Avalis, its new, flat-canopy-based architectural solution, Solarlux has added to its portfolio a spatial concept that combines architectural aesthetics, versatility, modularity and energy efficiency to create a harmonious whole.

Its timeless design is impressive in every regard, and it offers an incredible level of flexibility that allows it to be incorporated into a vast range of different construction projects and styles.
The thermally insulated Avalis flat canopy can be transformed into an ingenious extension in just a few simple steps, thus providing both maximum transparency and outstanding thermal insulation and sealing. The basis of the system is a made-to-measure wooden structure with at least five layers of lamination that offers complete protection against vapour diffusion. The sealing, insulation, shading and ventilation can all be configured prior to installation to suit the customer’s needs.
Avalis is available in two different designs: as a roof overhang with a slanted edge for slender sight lines, or with a straight edge to allow for the incorporation of a shading system. An optional skylight with a built-in, automatically controlled roof hatch lets the daylight in, and is available in a range of profile materials. Protection from the sun is provided by an under-roof awning in combination with anti-sun glass, or an external roof awning.
Solarlux bi-folding doors and the slender cero sliding window offer a variety of options for a transparent vertical system. Both systems blend in seamlessly with the Avalis’ minimalist design, and provide large glazed surfaces that can be used to open up the extension and merge it with its outdoor surroundings. Vertical awnings protect the owners from strong sunlight, while the two-percent incline allows the rainwater to drain off inconspicuously at the side.
Every Avalis is a made-to-measure, solid wood construction. The roof hatch, lighting and other elements can be configured to suit the customer’s needs, and the thermal insulation of the flat canopy opens the doors to a wide range of design options.
