All of the products in Solarlux’s bi-folding door range offer both wide openings and maximum security. The Combiline has now become the first wood/aluminium option on the market to receive the RC2 certification.
The Highline, Ecoline and Woodline variants of the bi-folding door have already passed every discipline in the RC2 test, and the wood/aluminium Combiline has now joined them in fulfilling all the requirements of the DIN EN 1627 security standard. A practical break-in test has confirmed that there are no weaknesses anywhere in the design. The Combiline has thus flipped the script on the preconception that large glass surfaces mean compromising on security – in fact, its anti-burglary protection is even approved by the German state.
Ensuring that the Combiline fulfils the requirements of its anti-burglary protection class proved even more challenging than for our other bi-folding door systems. Like all wood/aluminium windows, its outer aluminium shell also acts as the rebate for the exterior glass elements. This makes it easy for potential burglars to prise the aluminium shell off. But Solarlux’s Research and Development department have come up with a way of ensuring a high level of burglar resistance in spite of this.
The Combiline bi-folding door is also perfectly designed to handle the effects of the weather, as its aluminium cover offers maximum weather resistance without taking anything away from the warm character the wood lends the interior. The panels can be folded to the side to form a slender bundle, leaving a wide opening that offers a great connection to the natural world. In addition to this, the frame profiles are made exclusively using premium lumber from certified, sustainable forestry. A wide variety of colours and other features are also available for exclusive design variations.
