“Spaces” reference database launched

Solarlux’s huge, moving building openings are used all around the world, supporting passive solar architecture and creating a seamless transition between the indoors and outdoors. Now, the manufacturer has made over 600 pieces of project documentation available online with the launch of its browser-based reference database, “Spaces”.

Almost forty years have passed since the German company launched its first bi-folding door, setting it on the path to becoming the global market leader it is today. With a diverse product range, the family-owned company provides a variety of high-quality solutions for new builds and modernisation projects for customers all around the world. And now, with the Solarlux Spaces web app, those same customers can discover the company’s products and services from anywhere in the world, too. With its systematic search functionality, architects and planners can find inspiration by looking for specific building typologies, Solarlux systems or locations – and receive all the technical information they need in their results.

References and projects at a glance

The new, web-based interface enables users of all devices and operating systems to dive into the world of Solarlux, starting with a global view that shows all the references on a map of the world. From here, the users can zoom in on specific markers until they are able to see individual projects. The documentation then provides reference photos and a concise report on each project. By clicking on the links provided, users can view more detailed project reports and information on the product range and the specific products used in a project. They can also log in from the same page both to view the technical documentation and to enjoy a number of practical extra functions, such as the ability to save projects to their own personal favourites.

In order help users find their way in the jungle of available documentation and track down the information they need, Solarlux has also built an extensive range of filter options into the app. If a user is interested in integrating specific Solarlux products or systems into their project, for example, this capability will help them find the references they need. New building typologies, from facade and “High-storey apartment construction” to “Life with a garden”, make it easier for users to find the exact applications they are looking for. There is also a free text search option for filtering projects using keywords such as systems, applications, cities or countries. Finally, Spaces also provides users with recommendations based on the page they are currently viewing, allowing them to dive deeper into the multitude of products Solarlux has to offer.
